Title: He Had a Brother?
Series: Shinkenger
Characters: Chiaki, Takeru, A Gedoushuu, and brief appearances of the other Shinkenger
Summary: Never kill somebody unless you make sure they don't have family first... for a brother's revenge is always the sweetest.
Chiaki had been innocently sitting on a bench in a nearby park, when out of nowhere a Gedoushuu had appeared. It turned and spotted him and in an instant was coming after him.
He sighed before he pulled out his shodophone and henshined.
The Gedoushuu stopped and grinned, “So you’re Shinken Green… you’ll pay for killing my brother!”
Chiaki blinked in slight confusion, “Huh? You’re brother?”
The Gedoushuu growled in anger, “How dare you forget Narisumashi! It’s because of you that he was killed, you tricked him!”
Chiaki thought for a moment before he grinned, “Ah! You mean that guy? It was his own fault for falling for it!”
Without saying another word, he ran at him and swung his sword.
It was blocked and he was easily pushed away,
“I, Narusumishi will have my revenge!”
Chiaki swung his sword again and hit Narusumishi in the side. “You’re pretty similar, even your names are almost the same!”
Just as Chiaki was about to swing again, Narusumishi changed into Kotoha. In slight shock and surprise, Chiaki stopped his attack, and was hit by “Kotoha”, and sent rolling away.
He pushed himself up and stared at him as he transformed back to normal. “You even have the same powers, huh?”
Narusumishi laughed, “Partially, but mine are so much better.”
He lunged at Chiaki and caught him by surprise. His fist launched into his stomach, and Chiaki felt the air rush out of him. He fell on to his knees, and passed out, di-henshining in the process..
Narusumishi stared down at the crumpled form, a twisted smile on his face. “Killing you now wouldn’t be right… it wouldn’t be proper homage to my brother. The rest of your friends will pay as well.”
He picked Chiaki up and slung him over his shoulder and disappeared into a nearby crack.
The only thing left behind was Chiaki’s shodophone.
---
When the rest of the Shinkengers arrived, there was nothing in sight.
Takeru looked around, a frown on his face, “Is Chiaki not here yet?”
Ryunosuke shook his head, “No, I’ll call him again.”
As he did so, there was a faint ringing heard. Ryunosuke followed the sound and bent down near the phone. He picked it up, and looked it over, “This is Chiaki’s…”
The others ran over, and Kotoha took the phone, a worried look on her face, “But why would it be here? Chiaki wouldn’t just leave it.”
Takeru nodded, “You’re right. Something must have happened.”
“Yo! I was wondering what took you guys so long!”
They all snapped their heads up, and to their surprise, it was Chiaki.
He spotted the phone and ran over, a sheepish look on his face, “Sorry… I lost it and haven’t been able to find it. Thanks for finding it for me.”
He reached for the phone, but it was pulled from his reach.
Chiaki frowned, “What’s up?”
Kotoha ran up to him, “Chiaki! What are you doing!?”
He gave her a confused face, “What’re you talking about, I told you I lost it, didn’t I?”
Takeru walked over, a suspicious look on his face, “Where’s Chiaki?”
Chiaki frowned, “Are you sick or something? I’m right here…”
“You’re not Chiaki. As irresponsible as he is, even he wouldn’t lose his shodophone and act like it was nothing. Now tell me, where is he?”
Chiaki smirked and took a swipe at Takeru, which was easily blocked. Takeru pushed him away and the others were soon by his side.’
Chiaki grinned and transformed back into his original form, “Ah ah… and here I thought I could have a little fun. I even thought I had his personality down as well.”
Takeru and the others henshined and held out their swords. “Now tell us, where is he?”
Narusumishi held out a finger and wagged it back and forth in a teasing manner, “Uh uh uh! You don’t go asking those kinds of things when you have nothing on your side. For all you know, I could have killed him already.”
Takeru frowned, and his voice tightened in anger, “I will ask you again… where is he!”
“Ah ah… you’re so impatient. I can’t even have a little fun!”
Narusumishi ran forward, and pulled a pair of swords out, similar to the ones his brother had. He swung them down hard, but was once again blocked and pushed back. The others surrounded him on all sides, and each took their turns in attacking.
After a few shots, Takeru had him pinned to a nearby tree, his sword against his throat. “Don’t make me repeat myself again.”
Narusumishi laughed nervously, “Alright alright… he’s in a warehouse about 50km from here, but I won’t be surprised if you don’t find him. There’s lot’s-”
He was cut off as the sword shifted, and he could tell he was receiving hard glares from all of them.
“Right…”
---
Narusumishi lead them to the warehouse, and once they’d made there way inside, he managed to slip away.
Takeru found him unconscious and tied up to a crate. He made his way over and sliced open the ropes holding him, and Chiaki fell forward on to Takeru.
Takeru hefted Chiaki on to his back and made his way over to the other’s. He had a small, barely noticeable smile of relief on his face, “He’s okay. Let’s go home.”
---
On there way back, Chiaki opened his eyes, and found himself being carried on Takeru’s back. He let a soft smile cross his face before he spoke, “Hey…”
Takeru glanced over his shoulder, and gave him a small smile as well, “Hey. You okay?”
Chiaki nodded slightly, “Yeah.”
“Good.” Takeru nodded and turned back to walking.
“We’ll find him and pay him back.”
Chiaki grinned, “Of course.”
